01. To prepare five year and various term development plans.

7. Provide motivation and support for the expansion of education at the upazila level.
8. Supervise the activities of the concerned institutions and provide assistance to them for the purpose of improving the quality of secondary education and madrasa education activities.
9. To take activities for the establishment and development of cottage and small scale industries.
10. To provide assistance and co-ordinate the work of co-operative societies and outsourced voluntary organizations.
11. To provide and implement support for women, children, social welfare and youth, sports and cultural activities. Implementation.
12. To discuss the activities of the police department including improvement of upazila law and order situation and to send regular reports to the higher authorities.
13. Coordinating and testing development activities and providing necessary assistance.
