River-Canal

There are no rivers in Barura upazila. However, a large canal named Curzon khal flows through Barura upazila. Through this canal water flows from Dakatia river to Barura upazila which has been making an impeccable contribution to the agriculture of Barura upazila. In addition, there are about 50 other small and large canals connected to the Curzon Canal. These canals are also making a significant contribution in fishing during the rainy season.
